Mixed Type Cerebral Palsy is a combination of two or more forms of Cerebral Palsy. Approximately 10% of people with Cerebral Palsy have Mixed Type CP. This form of the disorder may consist of any variety of symptoms of Ataxic CP, Athetoid CP, and Spastic CP. It is more common to have a combination of two types of Cerebral Palsy, although some people do have a combination of all three forms. Some symptoms are more noticeable at an early age, while other symptoms are not discovered until months or years later. A combination of Spastic Cerebral Palsy and Athetoid Cerebral Palsy are the most common.
